Last year’s Miss Universe pageant was the biggest news we’ve ever seen! Not just because Steve Harvey announced the wrong winner, but also because finally, the Philippines was able to get the crown back through our lovely candidate Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach. She winning the prestige title paved way for the Philippines to be the host country once again for the pageant. We all know how big this pageant is but we also know how big a country has to spend for this event. With this, the government asked help through local businessmen to sponsor the event so as not to spend so much on our government funding. The current administration is willing to spend because not only will we get our country featured all over the fans who watches the show, but it will also showcase the vast opportunities for foreign businessmen to invest in our country.

According to recent news, major sponsors for this event would be the LCM group headed by  former Ilocos Sur governor Chavit Singson, Solar Entertainment Inc., and SM Lifestyle Entertainment Inc. They will shoulder the approximately 638.1 million pesos to make the most beautiful day in the universe happen once again in Manila. Official date and venue as well as ticket prices are now announced through social media channels and websites. This is one big and huge project that the Philippines will have to host for it will be a big bang for us this new year of 2017!

Let’s all support our candidate, Maxene Medina, as she competes and tries to win the back-to-back crown for the Philippines this coming January 30, 2017, at the SM Mall of Asia Arena! Remember that when this pageant gets to be broadcasted live to over 190 countries, let’s welcome positive change as well as growth not just in tourism but also in the LABOR INDUSTRY. Let’s show the world, the universe rather, how Filipinos are confidently beautiful with a heart!
