AscenTPRO capitalizes on the extensive experience of its Executive Team.

The immediate success of AscenTPRO is a result of two important factors:

1) The executive team’s cumulative knowledge of the BPO space and its needs.

2) The tutelage of one of the pioneers and legends in the Philippine recruiting industry.

The AscenTPRO Executive Team is made up of Core Leaders of BPO Companies in the Philippines whose expertise in management lends excellence, focus, and competence in all aspects of business development.

We have a deep and diverse exposure, with direct involvement in various customer requirements spanning support of the U.S., Europe, Asia, Australia and New Zealand markets. Our expertise spans across all verticals, for some of the world’s biggest companies. Together, the team has managed key client operational requirements, growth, project management, financial efficiency and operational excellence in various domains.

Having held numerous executive positions in the industry, we have a combined BPO experience of over 40 years. We also have an extensive network in the BPO space, as well as a variety of other industries including the IT, FMCG, BFIS, Retail, and Travel and Hospitality sectors.

Raphael Jorge C. Macapagal

President, Co-Founder & CEO

Known for his passion for God, country and people, “Raffy” is a seasoned business leader in the fields of Strategic Planning, Service Delivery, Talent Acquisition and Development, Finance and General Management. A servant leader by heart, Raffy has developed young leaders to be successful and grow both professionally and personally, in the course of more than two decades in his career. He was instrumental in growing a now billion dollar company (TeleTech) in his seven years of tenure, as the Vice-President of Operations, handling businesses in the  APAC  region and the U.S., in more than fifteen locations. In 2012, Raffy accepted the role of Global Business Head for Sutherland Global Services, handling E-bay in several regions – Canada, North America and U.K. He then took part in the growth and migration of business as a Director of General Management for the world’s largest healthcare company – United Health Group.

In 2014, the first company of the Ascent group, was born, and integrated its capabilities to what Raffy started building for Industrial Personnel and Management Inc. (IPAMS). As the Managing Director of the new Philippine Division, his group provided top caliber talents, leaders and executives to the IT-BPM sector , Finance,  Banking,  Insurance, FMCG, Healthcare and Manufacturing  industries in the local scene. Due to the success of the new division, Raffy, together with his business partner, decided to go on their own and incorporate the second company of the Ascent group, Ascent Professional Recruitment Outsourcing Inc., which took the industry by storm when it was launched early of 2016, continuing what his team in IPAMS Phils started.

His strategy revolves around being an extension of the big international and multi-national players across all industries, in their staffing and talent acquisition needs, down to all managed services and sustainability, through effective marketing, advertising and communications to the public. Raffy now also serves as an industry resource and expert, a consultant to several reputable organizations both in the Philippines and internationally, conducts leadership development and motivational talks and seminars, and passionately shares his belief as a Christian in the business world.

Juan Miguel D. Crisostomo

 

Co-Founder & Chief Advisor to the CEO

“Migs” has been a finance professional for over 10 years, with his domain expertise involving Financial Planning and Analysis, Strategy, Pricing, as well as Investor Relations. He has an in-depth knowledge of margin optimization, is six sigma trained, and is involved in company cost initiatives, as well as business optimization.

He started in the industry as a Senior Financial Analyst, moving up to Regional Finance Manager for Asia Pacific for one of the largest BPO companies, handling multimillion dollar portfolios and delivering bottom-line targets across various US and Australia/Asia Pacific clients. He then headed the Global Financial Planning & Analysis group for the largest Filipino owned BPO company, centralizing and standardizing a fragmented organization, improved profitability, as well as re-engineered the entire pricing process.

In his most recent role, Migs is now the Vice- President of Investor Relations, Mergers & Acquisitions, and Strategic Initiatives. He reports directly to the CEO, and he represents the company in multi-national deals, heads key company initiatives, and serves as the key decision maker for investor management. Migs managed the single largest management buy-out in the Philippines, when the largest telco sold 80% of its stake to equity partners for $350M in 2013. After a year, he singlehandedly managed the divestment of his company’s Healthcare Business for $230M in 2014.

Miguel graduated as a Bachelor of Science in Management in 2002, with a Minor in International Business, from the Ateneo de Manila University. He earned his MBA in 2007, from the Mendoza College of Business, University of Notre Dame, in the U.S.A. Miguel has a diverse background, having experience in operations, finance, consulting, general management, and events management. He has worked in the Philippines, Italy, Japan, and the United States.

Juan Karlo Panopio, PMP

Corporate Strategy & Project Implementations

“Jett” is a professional of over twelve years in the Business Process Outsourcing industry, with expertise in training & leadership development, process improvement and project management spanning support across the Asia Pacific, Australia and North America regions.

He is a results-driven professional and a PMI®-certified Project Management Professional with a proven track record in leading teams across various geographical and cultural locations in various project lifecycle stages with varying requirement complexity. Under his training leadership roles in 2007, he was instrumental in supporting the business requirements of a major Australian Telco company in the Philippines across multiple sites in Luzon, Philippines.

His formal project management experience started in 2010, and have spanned more than 8000 hours in leading and directing project teams which more recently succeeded in transitioning the business of one of the biggest international BPO in the Philippines: 1,900 FTE in five months with zero impact and no performance degradation. Jett’s domain expertise lies in site and program start-ups, launches and project implementations, including assessment and scoping, risk mitigation and overall project management. His broad client-facing experience throughout the years have proven his strength in managing basic to complex implementations, ranging from 10, to 6000 FTEs of inbound/outbound voice, non-voice, back-office and chat channels.

Marinell Bates

Senior Manager – Service Delivery and Account Management

In the current corporate trends were women are leading strongly alongside with men, “Nelle” is a seasoned professional with almost 10 years of experience covering various industries from BPO Operations and Service Delivery, Finance & Accounting, Order to Cash, Data and Analytics, Technology, and Recruitment Operations. She is a result-driven professional with a proven track record in developing and achieving goals, plans, and strategies through management, process improvement, and control and report systems.

Nelle’s professional experience started with a US Technology Solutions Company as an IT advanced support moving to client services and operations supporting an Australia-New Zealand Telco client leading operations improvement of the program’s sales and employee engagements . She then transitioned to financial data and analytics with program development and automation to leading the migration and operations from 20 FTEs to 300 FTEs of F&A Order to Cash services from US Onshore to Philippines for one of the biggest US Staffing Firm.

With her vast expertise under her belt, Nelle joined Ascent and took over Recruitment Service Delivery and Operations, applying disciplined operational excellence to traditional recruitment practices, that resulted to tangible improvements and efficiencies that greatly increased average gross revenue up to 70%.

Gilbert So

Senior Manager for Operations and Business Development

Gilbert has worked as a Business Development Manager/Community Liaison Officer in Southern California for 8 years, handling Healthcare Services for SNF/Sub-Acute Care and Hospice Services. He has 3 years of BPO experience as a Clinical Service Delivery Manager for Operations for the top 2 BPO companies in the country handling around 200 clinical FTE’s where he handled start up health projects and accounts. In addition, 5 years of solid Sales background with the top multinational companies in the Pharmaceutical and Consumer industry. He also holds a US license as a Registered Nurse in the State of Texas and California, where he worked as a Nurse manager for 11 years specializing in Sub-Acute Care, Geriatric Care and Rehabilitation and Palliative Care/Symptom Management.

Gilbert represents the company in industry functions such as association events. He has strong network in the BPO industry most specially in the Healthcare sector including Allied Professionals. Always keen on market information providing feedbacks on trends both locally and internationally. With the help of his first hand experience as a healthcare provider in the States, this gave him a solid knowledge of the US Healthcare system and other healthcare services which are now widely outsource in the Philippines.

His contribution in the organization provides a valuable and extensive network of clients, highly skilled candidates and building sturdy stewardship with potential business partners. While his professional experience bring a variety of advantage to our team, combined with his wit, charm and positivity elevates his game to a different level.

Licel Esguerra

Executive Assistant to the CEO and Associate Office Manager/Human Resource

LICEL Licel has been a part of the BPO industry for over 12 years. Her expertise as an Executive Assistant encompasses executive positions from Executive Positions from Program Directors, Executive Directors, Expats and even Vice President of Operations.

Adding capacity under her belt, she took over Site Administration for BPO companies with 2000 to 5000 FTEs where she managed Concessionaires, Shuttle transport, and Courier departments across multiple sites as well as handling the overall facilitation of VIPs and expats.

She joined AscenT as an Executive Assistant to the CEO / President and as an Associate Admin Manager / Human Resource handling site administrative functions, management, maintenance of the office and safety and security.

Conrado de Leon

Executive Consultant

Conrad has worked in the BPO industry for 11 years. He has served as the primary interface and point-of-contact between the clients and the company to provide relevant client feedback and to resolve service problems. Directed the design and implementation of program forecasts enabling adequate operational resource allocation.

Prior to joining Ascent, he served as a Director for Operations handling a 600++ FTE account in the Philippines for a customer/technical account with his strong leadership the account expanded in Bulgaria and also in Mexico.

Currently he leads the Executive Search tower and manages the back office team. His extensive operations experience ensures that the team exceeds the expected results. With his hard work, experience and dedication guarantees client satisfaction and stronger business relationship. His BPO network brings highly qualified candidates for the Executive Search Tower.
